Welcome to the_emergent, a solo experimental music project from Germany.

the_emergent uses SuperCollider as a tool for music between soothing ambient, groovy beats and sound experiments. they also like to spread the joy of making music with computers by giving occasional talks & workshops.

they occasionally make their own SuperCollider-based tools & are curious about other ways of connecting art & technology. their technology explorations are based in trying to understand how things work & how to make your own, without being dependent on corporate & capitalist forces providing access.
